Hint: don't do this.

Safety is number one when driving your California forklift, both for you and the economy. A recent Public Citizen report revealed that occupational injuries in construction forced California taxpayers to pay an extra $2.9 billion from 2008 to 2010, resulting from a staggering 50,700 industry injuries and 168 construction worker deaths.

Prevention is the focus of the report, which is asking California law makers to demand companies to demonstrate that they adhere fully to state safety standards, and that their staff is adequately trained before they are allowed to bid on projects. The report also encourages incentives for clean safety records in the private sector.
